Retreats

Day Retreats

The Day Retreats at the Melbourne Buddhist Centre in Brunswick offer an opportunity to immerse yourself in meditation and Buddhism without going away or having to put aside a whole weekend. See the list below of upcoming day retreats.

Residential Retreats

Take a break and learn about meditation, Buddhism and yourself in a relaxed bushland setting. On retreat we follow in the footsteps of the Buddha, leaving behind the world of technology, busyness, and the demands of modern life, and entering into a different way of being with like-minded people.

Combining meditation and silence, discussion and friendship, inspiring collective rituals and time for solitude. Whether you’re new to Buddhism and meditation or have been practising for some time, going on retreat is a great opportunity to explore Buddhist practice and deepen friendships.

From a weekend to 10 days in duration, our retreats are fully catered with nutritious vegan food. Accommodation is simple with shared rooms. If you choose to book onto one of our retreats we will give you more information on what to bring and directions to the retreat. We can even supply meditation equipment on request and organise a lift to and from the retreat. Hope to see you on retreat soon!
