Dollar-matched Donations!

Dear friends,

This is the last day to take advantage of this amazing opportunity to double any donation you make to the MBC, with thanks to two generous members of our sangha who have graciously offered to dollar-match up to a cap of $10,000 before June 30th.

All donations over $2 are tax deductible — if you donate $100, our donors will match this with $100, to make it $200, plus you will get around $20 back on your tax receipt from the ATO. So, $80 from you can be $200 for the MBC.

We’ve currently raised over $8,000 from donations which will be matched to make it $12,000 in total so far. The matching is capped to $10,000 (i.e. another $4,000 could be raised and doubled to another $10,000, to make a potential total of $20,000).

It costs around $10,000 per month to open the doors of the centre. Without one-off and ongoing donations from the sangha, we would run at a loss. Money raised from this campaign will help us run at a surplus, and build cash reserves for future opportunities and reinvestment in the centre.

Donations allow us to welcome more people who otherwise couldn’t afford to attend classes or retreats because of financial hardship — with discounted events, free places on retreats, and free classes for young people.
