In Person and Online Meditation Classes

In essence, meditation teaches us to take full responsibility for our own states of mind, and offers us a means of transforming negative and reactive patterns in our minds into positive and creative ones. Such change can have a deeply transformative effect, and lead to new understandings and a more meaningful experience of life.
At the Melbourne Buddhist Centre learn the Triratna Buddhist Community’s two central meditation practices – the Mindfulness of Breathing and the Metta Bhavana (Development of Loving Kindness). Discover how to make Buddhist meditation part of your life.
We provide ‘taster’ meditation classes in person at the MBC for those with little or no experience through our weekly intro classes that are open to all. Receive instruction and guidance as well as assistance with meditation posture from experienced Buddhist meditation practitioners. When you become familiar with the meditation practices there are unguided classes that are held at the same time on Monday, Thursday and Saturday Morning.
