Young Dharma Gathering – Under 35s

Saturday March 30 , 4:00 pm 6:00 pm

What does it mean to prioritise inspiration on a day to day level? If Buddhist practice is supposed to make us feel free and easy, then why is it so hard? Is Buddhism compatible with our cultural understanding of love? If Dharma is supposed to be about transcending impermanent things, how can it help us with daily matters like health, wellbeing and work?

If you enjoy the dizzying sense that your world is much less solid than you thought it was, or if you think you’ve found the answers and would like to debate them over a cup of tea for the benefit of all Sentient Beings, then come join us this Saturday for our under 35s Dharma group.

For the coming weeks we are going to discuss the brahma viharas. These include the positive emotions of loving-kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy and equanimity. The practice of the brahma viharas has the potential to open the heart so that we can face life with greater positivity. This week we will be discussing sympathetic joy.
