As a forerunner to our Sangha Day festival on Saturday, Nov. 25th, Buddhadasa is offering a day seminar for Order members on The Ideal of Spiritual Friendship. It will begin with a study of Samuel Johnson’s ‘An Ode to Friendship’, composed many years before the publication of his famous Dictionary in 1755. Later in the day we meet the lay disciple Sigālaka to whom The Buddha outlines the qualities of True Friendship.
