Emptiness and Compassion: Order/Mitra Day
Sunday 14 June 10am – 3pm
An opportunity for our Order/Mitra sangha to gather and practice together.
Join us for an exploration of how the Dharma can guide us in developing compassion and insight. The day will include a guided Karuna Bhavana practice, group discussions on pith verses, and a shared lunch.
There will be an opportunity to dig deeper into how you can bring more kindness and compassion to yourself and everyone around you - beyond opinions, polarities, and habitual patterns.
Led by Rijumayi and Apada.
The Bodhicarayavatara, by Santideva, v 90 - 91
"At first one should meditate intently on the equality of oneself and others as follows:
‘All equally experience suffering and happiness. I should look after them as I do myself.’
Just as the body, with its many parts form divisions into hand and other limbs, should be protected as a single entity, so too should this entire world which is divided, but undivided in its nature to suffer and be happy."
