SESSHIN – SUNDAY 21 FEBRUARY 10AM TO 4PM
In the Zen Buddhist tradition a sesshin is an intensive period of meditation to transform the heart-mind. Literally sesshin means touching the heart-mind, also referred to as gathering the mind. This is achieved through a program of continual practice.
Join Apada for a 6 hour sesshin at the Melbourne Buddhist Centre, involving 6 meditation sessions interleaved with walking meditation and chanting. Besides chanting, the sesshin is conducted in silence, allowing an accumulative effect of each meditation to develop an intensity of practice. A light lunch will be provided to be eaten in mindful silence. Suitable for those who know our meditation practices.
