Instruction in Meditation

Learn the Triratna Buddhist Community’s two central meditation practices – the Mindfulness of Breathing and the Metta Bhavana (Development of Loving Kindness). Discover how to make Buddhist meditation part of your life.

Our courses are taught by ordained members of the Triratna Buddhist Order, assisted by those training for ordination. They are experienced practitioners, who teach in a friendly, relaxed way, communicating from their own experience.

Drop-In Classes

We provide a ‘taster’ meditation class for those with little or no experience through our weekly drop-in classes that are open to all. Check the calendar for upcoming meditation events.

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday lunchtimes at 12:30 pm
Thursday evenings at 7:30 pm
Saturday mornings at 10:45am
Please arrive 10 minutes early to be ready for a prompt start to the session.
Sessions last for approximately 45 minutes, during which you will be given an introduction to a meditation practice, some help with posture and a led through meditation.
We ask $15 for a drop-in meditation class, ($8 Concession Card holders) and lunchtimes are $10 or $8 Concession Card holders
