Learn the Triratna Buddhist Community’s two central meditation practices – the Mindfulness of Breathing and the Metta Bhavana (Development of Loving Kindness). Discover how to make Buddhist meditation part of your life.

Meditation Courses

Our meditation courses are taught by ordained members of the Triratna Buddhist Order, assisted by those training for ordination. They are experienced practitioners, who teach in a friendly, relaxed way, communicating from their own experience. The courses are scheduled throughout the year and generally run for 6 weeks on a Wednesday night from 7.30pm – 9.30pm. Click here for upcoming courses.

Drop-In Classes

We provide a ‘taster’ meditation class for those with little or no experience through our weekly drop-in classes that are open to all. Check the calendar for upcoming meditation events.

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday lunchtimes at 12:30 pm to 1.15 pm
Thursday evenings at 7:30 pm to 8.30 pm
Saturday mornings at 11 am to 12 pm
Please arrive 10 minutes early to be ready for a prompt start to the class.
The classes are led by experienced meditators who will introduce you to a meditation practice and help you set up a meditation posture that is right for you.
We alternate on a weekly basis between the two meditation practices, the Mindfulness of Breathing and the Metta Bhavana.
Costs: Lunchtimes $10/$8 Concession. Saturdays and Thursdays $15/$8 Concession
