Thursday Lunchtime Drop-in Meditation

Suitable for new and experienced meditators The Centre is open from 12.00pm and the meditation starts at 12.30pm and finishes around 1.15pm. We alternate weekly, leading through the Mindfulness of Breathing and the Metta Bhavana  (Development of Loving-Kindness) practices. Guidance is given for newcomers. We ask for a donation of $10 or $8 for concession cards holders.

Each Thursday evening we offer two meditation sessions; one for those with little or no experience, and other for those experienced with our practises. Newcomers welcome! Epic Puja Fundraiser

Dantacitta is embarking on an Epic Puja The Melbourne Buddhist Centre presents a 12 hour epic Puja fundraiser. The Melbourne Buddhist Centre Chairperson, Dantacitta will be endeavouring to sit through all 12 hours of puja, a Buddhist devotional practice of mantra chanting, reciting Buddhist texts and the making of offerings to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Sesshin Day Retreat June 2017

In the Zen Buddhist tradition a sesshin is an intensive period of meditation to transform the heart-mind. Literally sesshin means touching the heart-mind, also referred to as gathering the mind.
