Thursday Evening Drop-in Meditation & Activity
Thursday October 26, 2017, 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Each Thursday evening we offer two meditation sessions; one for those new to meditation with little or no experience where you will be shown the meditation practice and guided through a meditation. The other meditation session is unguided for those experienced with our practices. Newcomers are welcome!
On alternate weeks we lead through either the Mindfulness of Breathing or the Metta Bhavana (Development of Loving Kindness) meditation practice. We meditate from 7.30pm to 8.30pm, then have a tea break.
After the break we offer one of a range of activities, perhaps a talk, a discussion, or a workshop related to Dharma practice. This Thursday we will celebrating Dr Ambedkar, a remarkable Indian Buddhist and leader of the Indian Dalits. Find out more about his incredible legacy to Buddhism in India.
No booking required, no equipment needed. Doors open at 7pm, please arrive in good time for a prompt 7.30pm start. The evening ends around 9.30pm.
The cost is $15, or $8 for concession card holders.
