This course is suitable for anyone experiencing stress associated with chronic illness, work, relationships, loss and other factors outside your control. Also for those who want to learn strategies to deal with the general complexity and pace of modern life. Breathworks was developed by Vidyamala Burch, a member of the Triratna Buddhist Community who has used mindfulness to manage stress and severe chronic spinal pain for over 25 years. We can’t always choose what happens to us or how other people behave, but we can learn to have more choice in how we respond to life’s events. Breathworks teaches mindfulness skills to help improve your quality of your life: ⦁ How to breathe into the present moment and find choice ⦁ Breath and body awareness ⦁ Gentle mindful movement and relaxation ⦁ Mindfulness meditation practice, including cultivating kindliness towards yourself and empathy for othersLed by Naomi Overton 8 Wednesdays from 1 March to 26 April , 10am to 12.30pm Suitable for all those with no experience of meditation $150 which includes all materials.
