Be the Change: Removing the Blocks to Effective Activism
Tuesday January 21, 2020 , 11:00 am – 5:00 pm
On this day workshop, Be the Change: Removing the blocks to effective activism, Shantigarbha will explore the non-violent approach to social change.
Gandhi urged us to “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” – beginning with changing the ‘social structure’ within ourselves. How do we transform ‘domination’ systems into ‘life-serving’ ones?
Based on the work of Marshall Rosenberg and Nonviolent Communication, this process shows another way of doing things that is less costly and more fun! It includes grief work and envisioning the kind of world that you want to live in.
Led by Shantigarbha and Gesine Schrader
This event is being offered on a Dana (donation) basis. At the end of the day we will ask for a donation towards the Melbourne Buddhist Centre and Shantigarbha and Gesine’s travel costs.
