Coronavirus Update: Temporary Suspension of Activities at the MBC

Protecting your wellbeing & ability to practice the Dharma is our first priority.

It is with a heavy heart that we’re announcing the temporary suspension of activities at the Melbourne Buddhist Centre in Brunswick in light of the current situation caused by COVID-19 from midday Monday 23 of March

To support you, our Saṅgha, to keep Going for Refuge to the Three Jewels, we are launching MBC Online and other initiatives to help us stay connected as a community.

MBC Online – Helping Us Stay Connected

While we remain closed, we’re committed to continuing to share our teachings and practices with you during this challenging period – we offer the following online program of events for you to participate in.

Live Streaming Meditation Classes on Zoom : Join a Zoom meditation class at home with set times during the week. We will cater for both Newcomers with a guided sit and Regular Meditators

Online Study Spaces: Continuing your Buddhist Study Group

Offering continued friendship and support.

Weekly News Post Updates: Keep informed of the evolving MBC Online program and other developments.

Responding to your emails and phone calls.

Online Buddhism Courses: Opening up the world of the Dharma

Live Dharma Presentations: Dharma talks from the Sangha to inspire.

MBC Support – Helping the MBC Community

To help with those in isolation, the MBC Sangha Buddies program will focus on reaching out to Sangha that are in self-isolation offering personal connection and practical help.

MBC Dana – Keeping the MBC Going
